Rusty's Joint Message Boards
I'm going to re-open up a few different forums on the site, for different areas of interest. The last time I had this set up, lots of people stopped by, but few ever used it. That's fine, but this area takes a fair amount of work and administration, and I hate to think it was for nothing. Start a thread...suggest a new board...whatever. I think this time, once people start using it, it may take off. If it doesn't, well, I will just throw a little AF on the fire, and it will.
The last time that I had this running, I think something happened to the area, and it was not working, for quite a while. But no one bothered to tell me.
For right now, I am going to have three boards: one for anyone (General), one for Register Users, and one for Mansfield Senior High people, both of which will require you to get a user name and password prior to using that board. Also, this is going to require setting a cookie. For those too paranoid, I'm sorry, but it has to be that way. I suggest you set your browser to only accept cookies that get sent back to the originating server, if you have them disabled. If you don't know what a cookie is, then don't worry. On the up-side of this, a registered user has a password, and no one can post a message in a registered forum without submitting their password the first time each session. So no one can say Russ is a scum-sucking pig, and sign your name to it.
I am the controlling authority, here. If I decide something is offensive, or causing trouble, I reserve the right to edit and/or delete entirely, any post.
I suggest that you read the Message Board General Guidelines before proceeding the first time. This will help you set up your account. If you were registered before 11/20/2002, you will have to register again...sorry.
If you have a suggestion for a new forum, by all means, let me know. I will do my best to accommodate everyone. If you want to start a new topic "thread", within the forum you are already in, by all means, go ahead and do it.
